Ingredients:

2 tbsp olive oil

½ onion, chopped

1 tbsp The Broth Sisters Turmeric and Ginger Paste

1 tsp The Broth Sisters Fermented Chilli Paste

2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

1 tsp garam masala

200g canned chopped tomatoes (½ can)

200g brown lentils

700ml water

1 tbsp The Broth Sisters Vegetable Stock Concentrate


To Serve (Optional):

Fresh coriander

Lime wedge

Steamed rice

Pistachio nuts or sesame seeds


🥄 Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté onions until soft.

Add turmeric and ginger paste, chilli paste, garlic, and garam masala. Stir until fragrant.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook for another 3 minutes.

Stir in lentils, water, and vegetable stock. Reduce heat and simmer gently.

Cover and cook for 30 minutes, until thick and stew-like.

Serve warm, garnished with coriander and lime, and enjoy with rice if desired.
