Low FODMAP Turkish Sweet Potato Soup: A Comforting, Gut-Friendly Bowl of Goodness

About

Anyone who has suffered with such conditions as IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) or digestive symptoms such as bloating is likely to be familiar with the term of a group of foods known as FODMAPs, which means fermentable sugars, or more specifically Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides, Alcohols and Polyols.  Amongst the highest foods in FODMAPs are garlic and onions, which are used in most savoury dishes and can be difficult to avoid.  The Broth Sisters have just made it easier to make low FODMAP savoury dishes without compromising on flavour.  In this recipe we have used their FODMAP friendly Veggie Broth and their Turmeric and Ginger Paste.   The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric and ginger is an added benefit!
