Golden Turmeric Garlic Bread: A Healthy Twist on Classic Sourdough

Ingredients 

  • 4 large cloves of garlic 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup organic butter
  • 2-3 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tsp The Broth Sisters Activated Turmeric and Ginger Paste  
  • 1 loaf of sourdough bread, sliced


Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200 Degrees C.
  2. Peel outer layer of the garlic. Using a sharp knife, cut 3cm from the top of the bulb and massage olive oil on the exposed garlic. 
  3. Wrap garlic in foil and place in the oven for approx. 45 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. NB: Leave the oven on as you will need to use it again.
  5. Combine butter, garlic (you can squeeze the roasted garlic out of its skin), parsley, and the Activated Turmeric and Ginger Paste in a saucepan. 
  6. Place over low-medium heat and stir for 3-4 minutes, or until the paste has melted.
  7. Spread turmeric garlic mix on the sourdough bread, coating the surface. 
  8. Place the garlic bread on a sheet of foil, wrap and place in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is crispy.
  9. Serve and enjoy.

Serves 10.
