Turmeric Mac No Cheese – A Creamy & Nourishing Vegan Comfort Food

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup cashews (soaked in filtered water for 1-2 hours)
  • 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
  • 3/4 cup filtered water
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Broth Sisters Activated Turmeric & Ginger Paste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 200 grams pasta of choice

Method

  1. Drain and rinse soaked cashews.
  2. Place in a high-speed blender with all remaining ingredients (except pasta). Blend until smooth and creamy. This takes a few minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, cook pasta as per packet instructions.
  4. Pour the creamy ‘cheese’ sauce on top of the pasta and gently toss. 
  5. Transfer to serving bowls and top with salt, pepper and/or micro greens.
